City Club Marietta is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Marietta, Georgia.
The course history dates to 1915, when a 9-hole layout was built on the site of the Georgia Military Institute. That course was then known as Marietta Country Club Golf Course. In the 1960s, the golf course expanded to 18 holes. The course first opened to the public in 1991, after the City of Marietta purchased it and hired Mike Young to design a complete renovation. The course name was changed at that time to City Club Marietta.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 5,738 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,703 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 570 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 107 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 570 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 140 yard par-3.

My group travel to Georgia every year and play this course. I must admit, this was the worst shape the greens have been in since we started playing here. None the less, we will come back again next year. Love this course, very challenging.
